Rabivere - What to do, what to see?

The village of Rabivere, in Kohila municipality, offers a variety of activities and opportunities to enjoy nature. Here are some suggestions of things to do in Rabivere village:

  1. Hiking in Rabivere bog: Rabivere bog is located near the village, where you can enjoy the beauty and diversity of nature. Try the hiking trails(Kõnnu Lake hiking trail), which will allow you to discover the marsh water bodies, natural vegetation and birdlife.
  2. Bonfire evening: If you’re visiting in warm weather, organise a campfire with friends. If the weather is nice and warm, why not bring a friend and have a nice picnic in the courtyard of the Rabivere village square, where there is a playground for children. A nice campfire, good company and sitting under the stars will make for a memorable evening and you’ll meet interesting people.
  3. Photography: the village of Rabivere and the surrounding nature offer great opportunities for photographers. Catch beautiful landscape shots, sunsets or birds flying over the marsh water. Or go discover the Luha dwarf pine.

The nearest shop to the Napu holiday home is in the village of Hagudi. Not far away is also Hageri Coop in the village of Hageri, which is a bit bigger. If you want to buy more and have a wider choice we recommend going to Kohila centre or Rapla town.

On the virtual hike you can discover the fascinating places of the Rabivere Landscape Reserve. The trail takes you from the peat quarry in the northern part of the area to the unique Sopi Lakes on the western edge of Kõnnu Swamp.

Between the villages of Hageri and Hagud lies the Rabivere Landscape Reserve. Almost five kilometres long and two kilometres wide, it consists of the Rabivere and Kõnnu bogs.
